THEMATIC PROFILE OF PUBLISHED ARTICLES
Across the four editions of the Latin American Tourism Forum, a total of 65 articles have been published by academics and researchers from universities belonging to the Pan-American Confederation of Schools of Hospitality, Gastronomy, and Tourism.
These articles have addressed a wide range of topics, concepts, and diagnoses, shaping an insightful overview of the interests, concerns, and challenges related to tourism among this group of professionals within the Latin American academic community.

It can be observed in Table No. 1 the diversity of topics addressed in the published articles, which have been grouped into 20 thematic categories. Within these, aspects related to Sustainable Tourism stand out prominently, representing nearly 25% of the total articles published. Following in importance are articles related to Education and Training, accounting for 11%, and subsequently those addressing Economic Issues, with 8%.
By conducting a broader exercise of integration and aggregation of the wide thematic variety of the published articles, they were classified into five major themes, as shown in the following table.

In this table, editorials and articles related to Covid-19 have not been considered, since although highly relevant at the time, they corresponded to a situational context.
Of the 58 articles included, one third focused on Sustainable Tourism and Climate Change, reflecting the primary concern of academics and researchers from Latin America and the Caribbean. With a lower level of importance, articles addressing Economy and Development, Education and Digitalization, and Characteristics of Tourism Demand also appear.
